Beer StylesWhat means what?

Fruit / Vegetable BeerThis is what is all means.

A generic form of flavored beer, some breweries actually use real fruit or veggies, though most use an extract, syrup or processed flavor to give the effect of a particular fruit or vegetable. Usually ales, but with not much ale character to them and commonly unbalanced. Malt flavor is typically hidden with a low hop bitterness to allow the fruit or vegetable to dominate.

Beers that we serveHere are some beers that we have that are this style.

  • Funky Buddha More Moro Blood Orange IPA

A moro is an American varietal of blood orange that has deep, crimson red flesh and a mellow citrus flavor. Our More Moro IPA piles on the "moro" for an overload of ripe, fresh blood orange flavor. Deeply citrusy and fruity, with a hop-forward nose, sticky malt body, and long grapefruit hop finish.

  • Kasteel Rouge

Dark red color from the sour cherries to a base of brown ale, and aged for 6 months.

  • Purple Haze

A lager brewed with real raspberries added after filtration. The berries add a fruity aroma, tartly sweet taste and a subtle purple color and haze.

  • Sweetwater Blue

Sweetwater Blue is a unique lighter style ale enhanced with a hint of fresh blueberry. When you drink this beer take a good whiff first and you’ll smell the blueberry influence, but on the taste it’s extremely subtle and the finish is extra clean. Ain’t no fruit beer, but it is our breakfast beer

Why only craft beers?

The number one reason is craft beer tastes better than the "beer water" that is mass produced and mass marketed by the big beer companies. Craft beer tastes better because craft brewers spend their time focusing the quality of their beer rather than focusing on their marketing campaigns and stock prices.

Oh yeah! Craft beers can pack a punch. Most craft beers range from 5-10% ABV, but some can reach 20%, 30%, and even 40% ABV.
